Monday Morning Must-Knows: November 23, 2020

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.  We have a short week in the markets this week. The equities markets will be closed Thursday for the holiday and Friday will be a short day.  The session will run from 9:30-1:00 EST.  We often see lower volume over this week, which means liquidity may dry up.

We are also looking at unemployment rates.  We’ve seen the new unemployment trends coming back down.  However, the last report we did see a slight increase.  Compound that with a rise in COVID-19 cases and states imposing more restrictions, we’re going to want to keep an eye on this report which is expected to be released on Wednesday at 8:30am.

Finally, we’re wrapping up our earnings season, but have a number of key retail companies reporting on Tuesday.
