Monday Morning Must-Knows: January 3, 2022

As we enter the first trading week of 2022, we anticipate that trading volume will be light, which is typical for the first week of the year.

Little to note on the earnings season, with a hand full of companies report on Thursday.

We will be watching the jobs report on Wednesday at 8:15 Eastern Time.  When we look at the most recent data, we have seen steady growth for the year.  The question is how long will this continue and when will get back to normal?

Finally, on Wednesday, the FOMC Meeting Minutes will be released which will give us some insight into thinking around inflation and interest rates.

Since this typically a thinly traded week, be careful out there.
