Is the unemployment number rising?
Fed Chair, Jerome Powell has made it clear. He expects the unemployment number to rise. Unemployment numbers are critical for our economy and this might dictate how the markets will perform for November and December and maybe going into Q1.
So, it will be important to pay attention to this week’s announcements regarding US Employment stats:
• JOLTS Job Openings – Tuesday 10am ET
• ADP Non-Farm Employment Change – Wednesday 8:15am ET
• Unemployment Claims – Thursday 8:30am ET
• Unemployment Rate – Friday 8:30am ET
Also pay attention to the following Central Banks announcements:
• US Rate Statement – Wednesday 2pm ET
• Press conference – Wednesday 2:30pm ET
• Reserve Bank of Australia – Monday 11:30pm ET
• Bank of England – Thursday 8:00am ET
