CENTER SPOTLIGHT - Minneapolis Center
Kevin, thanks for taking the time out of your very busy schedule to share some information about your award-winning center.
DH: How this The Minneapolis Center operate during these unprecedented times?
KY: We are doing everything we can to stay focused on the students and Keeping the center open for our students. We have also maintained a couple of our radio shows getting the message out to consumers that this is a perfect time to get involved and learn the skills of trading and investing!
DH: How did you and your team support Minneapolis students during the COVID-19 lockdown?
KY: Our local team is the best and absolutely love our students. The support we provide includes our weekly trader groups in center and virtually as well as our Tech Tuesdays.
Also, the importance of over-communicating the resources available to student is very important. If any of the students do not feel like coming into the center we can do Zoom calls at any time. Finally, we hosted a Compass event to keep our students engaged virtually with amazing success. We had almost 40 people attend with great reviews!
DH: I’ve heard a little about your ‘in-center’ Trader’s groups – can you tell us a little about them and students’ feedback?
KY: These trader groups were originally created by Spencer Lewis, our Student Support Specialist, as an opportunity for students to give back to other students. Weekly we do various asset classes hosted by either an instructor who is in town or one of our students. Now with the virtual environment, the number of students participating have tripled! We LOVE keeping in touch our community and offering these opportunities to stay focused on the curriculum and practicing!
DH: As you look forward, what are you hoping for your center in the new year?
KY: Well, I think we all want a vaccine so we can completely open back up! But we will continue to innovate and communicate!
We are the best trading and investing educational company out there, we just need to ensure everyone knows that. So, we need to tell our story through exceptional marketing!
